Blood Sucker Dragon

This small, slimy, eagle-sized wyvern makes its home in dark caves and dungeons. Territorial and silent, it stalks anything that dares enter its domain. With the ability to cling to walls and ceilings, it moves with eerie grace, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

When prey wanders too close, it launches with terrifying speed, latching on tight and driving its long, specialized tongue deep into flesh. It drains blood rapidly, filling the red blood pods along its back until the victim is completely exsanguinated. Once fully filled, the creature retreats to the shadows, surviving for months on the blood stored in its bloated reservoirs.

When cornered, the Blood Sucker Dragon becomes explosively dangerous - it can rupture its engorged blood sacs in a violent spray of acidic blood, burning its attacker and creating the perfect opportunity to escape. However the sacs regenerate slowly, leaving it vulnerable and sluggish in the meantime, making the blood sucker dragon choose wisely when to use this defense mechanism.
